The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Zambia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Health Management Information Systems Advisor.

The Health Management Information System (HMIS) Advisor is a senior program specialist and key public health advisor responsible for HMIS activities for the USAID mission in Zambia. The incumbent will work at the program management level and engage with the U.S. Government (USG), the Government of Zambia (GRZ), other donors, contractors, grantees, non-governmental organizations, and key stakeholders to strengthen data collection, data quality, and interoperability between multiple national-level, GRZ-led health management information systems.

The HMIS Advisor will build capacity among a wide range of stakeholders in the collection and analysis of HMIS data and advise USAID activity managers on the use of data and information from multiple health management information systems. The incumbent will also contribute to the strengthening of overall monitoring and evaluation systems for USAID/Zambia.

The HMIS Advisor will coordinate advanced target-setting and results reporting processes, conduct data analysis using statistical software packages, and lead a range of monitoring and evaluation activities for a segment of the overall USAID/Zambia health portfolio.
