TARGETING HEALTH INEQUITY:
SMART MOVES WITH NEW TOOLS AND APPROACHES
Join Health Policy Plus and special guests from USAID and the World Health Organization for an engaging policy forum that will explore new tools to assess health equity outcomes, examine experiences of how countries make hard policy decisions based on equity-related evidence, and discuss future directions for pro-equity health sector reforms.
Through a series of expert presentations and a moderated discussion, we will tackle the questions of:
What are recent trends in equitable access to quality health services?
How can countries mobilize resources to fully subsidize the costs that the poor and vulnerable face to access high-quality services?
How is prioritizing equity in health policy-making and equity-based monitoring improving health outcomes and aiding in the quest to end extreme poverty?
How can we operationally integrate equity-based thinking into health sector reform approaches? How can we get from evidence to action?
