If you visit our site to only read or download information:
We collect and store only the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account, or iowa.edu if you are connecting from the University of Iowa's domain); the date and time you access our site, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site, if any; and which pages you view while you visit our website.

We use the information we collect to count the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, find out what information is the most viewed, and so help us make our website more useful to visitors.

This gathering and storing of information is separate from the activity described as monitoring in our Security Notice.

If you identify yourself by sending us an email message or a completed profile:
If you decide to send us personally identifying information, we will use that personally identifying information to respond to your comment or suggestion, to count the number of people sending us comments, and to hopefully provide you with content that better meets your unique needs.

We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site unless you choose to provide such information to us.

Cookies and other information stored on your computer
A cookie is a small piece of information that is sent to your browser, along with a web page, when you access a website. A cookie might track the pages you've visited, and the date when you last looked at a specific page. There are two kinds of cookies. A session cookie is a line of text that is stored temporarily in your computer's memory. Because a session cookie is never written to a drive, it is destroyed as soon as you close your browser. A persistent cookie is a more permanent line of text that gets saved by your browser to a file on your hard drive.

SHARE uses cookies to count the number of visitors and to improve the usability of our websites. We have set our software so that your browser will only return cookie information to the domain where the cookie originated (in this case, hivsharespace.net). No other site can request it. Note: Regardless of the particular uses for cookies on SHARE, we will not share any cookie information with any third parties.

Security notice
BCM-CFM takes reasonable efforts to safeguard any voluntary personal information you provide us by using physical, electronic and procedural safeguards based on industry standards and best practices.

While we may use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software in some cases to protect the security of your information during transmission, you should know that no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, SHARE’s computer systems use software programs to monitor network traffic and identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage.

Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
