HIVSA: Choma/DREAMS Project Coordinator

HIVSA is a South African not-for-profit company working in the health and social sectors with a focus on Health and Community Systems strengthening in the context of HIV and other development challenges.

HIVSA seeks to recruit a Choma/DREAMS Project Coordinator, based in Gauteng.

The Choma Dreams Project Coordinator will be responsible for actively coordinating and engaging with Community Based Organisation (CBO) management and staff including youth in the community related to Choma and Choma Dreams Cafe project. He/She will also be responsible for facilitating community education, mobilising youth dialogues as well as supervision of activities and team members relating to the project. The purpose of this position is to ensure high quality service delivery through the coordination of project activities including project staff/team. The team may consist of outreach workers, peer educators, CBO team leaders, lay counsellors, professional counsellors, social auxiliary workers and community activators. The Choma Dreams Project Coordinator will also be responsible to develop regular stock-takes of the materials at the Choma Dreams Cafes.  He/She will also be responsible to regularly promote young women and girls to Choma Magazine’s digital and social media platforms.

This is a 12 months contract position.
