Today, USAID launches the Child Survival Call to Action - Every Child Deserves a 5th Birthday – Together we will end preventable child deaths.
This is a big deal for USAID. And you can – and should – be a part of it.
So, how can you be involved?
- First, watch the introduction video.
- Second – and most urgently and fun – find and upload a photo of you on your 5th birthday (or when you were five). We’ve got nearly 1,000 photos up of development champions – experts, celebrities, and USAID staff. This is fun, but it’s also a poignant reminder that too many children in the world don’t make it to their 5th birthday. And you can help change that.
- Read – and Tweet – about it on Twitter, using hastags #5thBDay#Promise4Children. This is also both fun and informative, and raises and amplifies awareness. Please tweet and retweet!
- Take a look at - and forward to others - the Roadmap for Child Survival.
- Watch the Call to Action launch today and Friday, live.
- If you’re in DC and would like to be put on the waiting list to attend the Call to Action in person at Georgetown University tomorrow and Friday, write to 5thBDay@usaid.gov.
