8th SA AIDS 2017 Conference

The 8th South African AIDS Conference 2017 will be held from 13-16 June in Durban, South Africa.

The Conference theme: The Long Walk to Prevention: Every Voice Counts provides a unique opportunity to ignite everyone’s energy around HIV prevention relating to structural issues and peoples voices. We are wanting to bring back the human perspective hence every voice counts.

On behalf of the Program Committee, we cordially invite you to present your research, successful programmes, innovative interventions or best practices for consideration to be part of the programme and to once again contribute to this all important Conference.

Abstracts can be submitted under the following tracks:
Track 1: Basic and Clinical Sciences
Track 2: Epidemiology, Prevention and Public Health
Track 3: Social, Political, Economic and Health Systems
Track 4: Ethics, Marginalization and the Protection of Human Rights
Track 5: Best Practices: Programmes, Communications and Community Engagement

Submitting abstracts for either oral or poster presentation at the Conference gives you a unique opportunity to play a leading role in setting the HIV and AIDS agenda going forward. This Conference creates a platform wherein all scientists (basic and social), clinicians, activists and community workers can showcase their significant contribution towards curbing the dual TB and HIV epidemics.

We encourage you to contribute your experiences and knowledge to the discussions on the impact of HIV infection on other related infectious diseases, social and ethical issues as well as provision of healthcare in general.
